Pesquisa divulgada nesta terça-feira, 18, pelo Ministério da Saúde revela que 10,3 milhões de brasileiros já tiveram algum sinal ou sintoma de doenças sexualmente transmissíveis (DST) – 6,6 milhões de homens e 3,7 milhões de mulheres.

Os homens brasileiros têm 31,2% mais riscos de apresentar algum sinal ou sintoma de doenças sexualmente transmissíveis (DST) do que as mulheres. E o total de homens negros que relataram sinais ou sintomas de doenças sexualmente transmissíveis (DST) é de 19% enquanto o índice para homens brancos é de 13,8%.

Segundo o estudo, manter relações sexuais com parceiros do mesmo sexo mais do que dobra a probabilidade de uma pessoa apresentar sinais de DST. Indivíduos que tiveram mais de dez parceiros na vida têm 65% mais possibilidade de contrair alguma doença sexualmente transmissível.

Apenas 30% dos homens e 31,7% das mulheres que procuraram atendimento foram orientados a fazer o teste de HIV. A recomendação para o exame de sífilis foi ainda menor: 24,3% para eles e 22,5% para elas.

Já em relação às mulheres que declararam ter tido pelo menos uma DST, a pesquisa indica que não há diferenças “significativas” entre as regiões brasileiras. No Nordeste, por exemplo, a taxa é de 7%, e no Sul, de 11,2%.
